Automation department at AAG IT Services continues to grow

At AAG IT Services, we aim to provide the most reliable and responsive service. That’s why we’ve invested further in our automations department with Jack’s appointment.

Exterior view of a modern office building with large glass panels and a prominent AAG logo displayed across the upper windows. The entrance features a curved metal canopy above double glass doors. Two individuals are standing on the paved area in front of the entrance. Inside the building, a staircase and reflections of nearby structures are visible through the glass facade. A brick wall forms part of the building on the left side, and a parked car is partially visible on the right.

With the rise in artificial intelligence and automation, AAG IT Services are excited to welcome Jack Whelpton as a Senior Automation Developer.

Jack will work alongside Sean McGuire to further develop our internal processes, helping us deliver a more reliable and responsive service to our clients. They will also partner with businesses seeking to improve day-to-day efficiency through automation.

In his previous role as a Senior Modern Workplace Consultant, Jack worked closely with clients to promote automation and process improvement, building on earlier experience across IT support and development in sectors ranging from education to government. In recent years, he has delivered several impactful automation projects, including creating an engineer timesheet system that eliminated manual data checks, implementing an end-to-end bookings and payment workflow using Microsoft Bookings and Azure Logic Apps, and redesigning the SharePoint migration process with custom automation tools, significantly increasing project capacity. You’re starting to understand why we’re excited to have Jack on board, aren’t you?

Now, do you remember we welcomed Janine just the other week? Well, here’s a fun little fact. Jack and Janine are actually siblings, and neither was aware of the other joining AAG until they both had accepted the roles. It’s often said the world is a small one, and in this scenario, it’s hard to disagree.

With how quickly Janine has settled in, we can’t wait for Jack to get up to speed with our systems and processes. At AAG, we know that great people create a culture of excellent service. With his previous experience in automation, we’re looking forward to growing this department in AAG.

This new addition is our 9th welcome in just a couple of months at AAG, as we expand our capacity within the Projects Team (welcome Connor!) and Service Desk team (welcome Emma!) to meet increasing demand and support even more businesses with tailored IT services.

Please join us in welcoming Jack to the AAG work family. Here’s to a bright future for all connected.
